This is my very first musical. I heard about it and it sounded fun so my friend John and I auditioned. I was surprised that I got the lead.
I think the discipline in our school is wonderful.
It's fun. Maxwell is a good school system and has a good community. I love teaching and coaching here and plan to be here for a while.
We weren't sure how well we were going to do. We just knew we had to do our best and hope the judges liked us ...We knew we had worked hard, and it paid off for us.
What a difference a year can make. (Learning) comes a lot quicker the second year and the kids make improvements a lot faster.
It's a testament to just how hard Josh works, because Starks was probably in better shape. Josh just wore him out in the third and got a near fall to win the match.
When I started watching it, it purely was for entertainment because I didn't know if I would like it. Now, I watch it once for entertainment and immediately watch it again and take notes with my laptop.
We want players who don't give up. We want players who sacrifice everything for the name on the front of the jersey.
We keep preaching the same thing we did last year. (We tell the kids) to do your best, just keep on improving.
Miami has been making strides the last five years. This past season (and the new facility) is just another step in being one of the best programs in the nation.
