The last game he started, he had some trouble with walks. The rain-outs probably helped us. We were able to work with him the last two days in the gym and he did what we asked him to do; keep the ball low and in on their hands, just throw strikes basically.

When you can start the section against the perennial power, Wash High, and play like we did, it's a good way to start. I told the kids before the game, that no matter what happens, it's only one game. But it's nice to win.
