He's kind of a Mike Vick type quarterback in that he has great arm strength and running ability. He's so fast and has such a good arm, it's tough to defend him. You have to watch for the option, the shotgun and his running ability.

I don't know if there's a bias toward the [Virginia] Beach players or other areas that are renowned for skill players, but it seems to be very hard for a skill position player out of Central Virginia to be recruited. I don't understand it, really. The linemen seem to be fine but not the skill players.

Mike takes a lot of pride in his ball handling with the play-action. He had a chance to learn from a very good ball handler in Joe Sanford.

We run eight men in the box. That's the defense we run now. We tried to be more aggressive with it tonight.

Mark is very fortunate in having a bright young mind in Hunter Price guiding him. But to use that system, you have to have a quarterback that's able to throw the ball. Mark is that guy. He's very talented.

We made a concerted effort to not put Mike in a situation where, conceivably, he could get blitzed.
