We have to have a short memory and be able to come back ready to play (today). We have to learn from our mistakes, and hopefully we'll get it fixed.

Offensively we were solid again. We hit the ball hard, but we left a lot of guys on base, too. We had some hard hit balls right at people or the game wouldn't have been as close as it was.

It was pretty disappointing to lose that game, and then they got runners at second and third. But Chris got out of a big jam, and that fed into our half of the inning. That was a big confidence booster. I'm glad we got out to a fast start; that was crucial.

(Casper) put the team on his shoulders and led us to victory on the mound. He was a nice spark for us in the second game.

That was the turning point. To not allow a run in that situation is remarkable.

When Matt was able to shut them down, his confidence grew 100 percent. He got stronger as the game went on. He did what a great senior leader does.
