It's truly Pinellas County's wildest place.

It's the people's land and their facilities. The taxpayers paid for it and we want everyone to come out, get to know more about the environment in which we live, and just enjoy the majesty of Pinellas County at its wildest.

I'd like to know how that diet fluctuates in an urban versus a wild setting.

I have great respect and fondness for the friends, and I think that's reciprocal. I want everyone to know we're trying to respect that formal agreement.

As far as I am concerned and my staff is concerned there is no certainty with this project whatsoever. And we would like to not see the preserve disturbed in any way that would be detrimental.

But by March we expect to have a system of boardwalks and bridges completed so most hikers can keep their feet dry.

It's not a negative. In fact, most of what I see is positive.

I'm thinking that they're opportunistic in an urban setting; they'll take whatever they can get.
