Whatever problem we are trying to fix, a lot of it is attributable to coal plants.

It's probably going to happen after 2008, and whether it's President (John) McCain or President Hillary Clinton, they're going to do what scientists say we should do, which is seriously limit global warming. And that's going to make old coal-burning power plants white elephants.

It looks on its face like a terrible, politically expedient decision that misses an opportunity to bring Kentucky into the 21st century.
