FameRank: 4

"John Brodie Croyle" is a former American football quarterback. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL) in the third round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played college football for the University of Alabama from 2002 to 2005.

Despite being hindered by knee injuries in his senior season in high school, Croyle was a highly Recruiting (college athletics)/recruited prospect by Louisiana State University, Florida State University and the University of Alabama. On the night Croyle was ready to announce his decision to attend Florida State, he changed his mind and chose Alabama, his father's alma mater, instead. In Croyle's four years playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team, he set numerous school records, and was a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award. Croyle led the Crimson Tide to the 2006 Cotton Bowl Classic and was named the game's offensive MVP.

Though he saw little playing time in his rookie season in the NFL, Croyle shared the starting position with Damon Huard in 2007 Kansas City Chiefs season/2007. On November 18, Croyle started his first game as the Chiefs' starting quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts.

We haven't been able to pick up third-and-short running all year. But I think our offensive line is finally coming together.

That's all we talked about all week, that we could make history.

This is exactly where we thought we'd be.

That's what we're here for. We can't reach our dreams if we don't have confidence in ourselves to get the win.

We've been saying all week they've got a great defense. If we're going to face a tougher one, we might not want to face them. Their front four was awesome. It's the best front I've played against in college.

You're playing against the No. 5 team in the country. You have to try to score.

It's Tennessee. Tennessee brings out the best in everybody. We expect them to bring their best game, too. It's huge.

Don't get used to that. I want to stay back there and throw it if I can.

If you go undefeated and you do what Auburn did last year, I don't know about them but I'd argue until the day I die that we were the best team that played in the year 2005.
