Each of the defendants is in a state of shock right now and trying to find their posture. Everyone's pointing fingers if they're talking at all.

I don't think people should be concerned.

I'd say it would be okay to eat any fish out of Chickamauga Lake. I'd eat them.

Those species are unusual, but for the most part they're harmless. The snakehead has the potential to cause a wide range of ecological problems.

My first thought when I got the call was that somebody had caught a bowfin, which looks something like a snakehead. But after talking with Steve, it was obvious ... this fish was not a bowfin.

Right now it's a matter of picking up the threads, finding the right one and putting it in the right place.

We're already having a lot of problems in Tennessee with Asian carp and Zebra mussels. We don't need the snakehead added to that.

Catfish spend a lot more time grubbing around on the bottom. And bigger catfish are more susceptible because they've been out there grubbing around a lot longer.
