It was a lot of fun to coach the girls we've played against the past four years. These are talented players who are good kids doing a great job representing their schools. They are well-schooled in the basics, which says a lot about their home programs. They all showed a lot of hustle and heart.

We had control in the first half, but in the fourth quarter their pressure defense got to us and caused turnovers that led to quick points.

We got off to a slow start offensively but picked it up in the second half. We had better ball movement and that led to easy shots. The second half defense was also much better than the first half.

If you're not afraid to go after the record labels, it's not hard to get signed.

About three weeks ago I talked to Eunice police and the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office and asked them to increase patrols. We have been having problems. We have abandoned houses right here that we have been trying to get the city to do something about. They won't take care of the problem. I had a knife pulled on me just three or four months ago by three guys about 17 or 18 years old.

This is a very rigorous program that moves Michigan from one of the lower-level states to one of the top.
