It's sad that in 2006, we still have incidents where people are attacked because of their skin color.

We must take on the work that others have left for us. In our own way and space, we need to take responsibility for creating a place where everyone feels valued.

It was not enough for Martin Luther King, Jr. to dream about equality. He had to rise and become the dream. Now we have an obligation to do the same.

If it's true, it's just so disappointing.

I personally owe so much to those who came before me. This march is a reminder to us all that this country use to be a lot different.

I was sad when I heard about it. It's still a reminder of what we have to do. We still have hatred and discrimination.

We should not, in 2006, still have individuals beaten because of the color of their skin. But we do. ... So our work is not done.
