We cannot have a short memory on this one. It's going to go on for months and years.

We're not even working into the damaged areas yet, it's just not safe. This isn't the end of it by any means.

The City Commission has blatantly ignored the wishes of over 1,100 voters by attempting to prevent them from voting on a very controversial comprehensive plan.

It's not that they have take them into their homes. It's more giving them directions to the grocery store, providing rides and advice about the new area they are living in.

Really what you need is the willingness to go when called.

I have made both a philosophical and financial commitment to the goal of securing the rights of the voters to approve any plan that will change the entire character of the city. Citizens who believe that the city is wrong in trying to prevent us from voting have an obligation to make financial sacrifices to stop this attempt at thwarting the right to vote.

They're out of contact now; their cell phones may not be working there. When we get into the trenches, it is a real hardship situation. We may be sleeping under the stars the rest of the time for all we know.

It was like, pack and go, quick. We arrived at 3:40 a.m., had a three-hour nap and our last showers for several days, if not weeks.
