Any grass-roots organization or group of individuals that come together often have an impact with local officials when they're reasonable. If someone's indignant, rude or loud, reasonable people get turned off. It's almost like they click a switch off in my brain when they get belligerent, and I almost don't hear some positives they may have.

He mentioned something, but we weren't interested. When he first asked if we were interested it was before he was going to tear it down. I said 'Why would we want to take $40,000 to tear it down?' We've got other obligations that are priority right now.
