It would seem like an odd outcome to me. It would be more likely they'd let all of them go forward or none.

The Pentagon, by its own rules, cannot be keeping information about people that are not threats to the military.

If this truly is a war of ideas, the idea that people can be held indefinitely without charge or trial is a powerful idea indeed. And it's an idea that is serving our enemies. Not us.

Kidnapping an innocent man and sending him to a secret location to be tortured is not only illegal, it is immoral. We need a full and complete investigation of a policy that has allowed countless detainees, some of them entirely innocent, to be tortured in our names.

The events of this week as a whole are showing the need for the Supreme Court to step in and give guidance.

If this is the best we can do, we risk forfeiting our ability to hold ourselves out as examples to the world.
