"Ben Rose" was an United States/American photographer.

Ben Rose started as a photographer when he was a young man. He was graduated from the University of the Arts (Philadelphia)/Pennsylvania Museum and School of Industrial Art in 1938 and where he taught Photography and Advertising Photography from 1945–1950. His first show at the A-D Galley was in 1941 with Arnold Newman with whom he had grown up in Atlantic City, New Jersey/Atlantic City. He has been noted for his contribution of high technology and electronics to photography by designer Louis Dorfman.

He, together with Irving Penn, was part of the "Philadelphia Group" that had studied with Alexey Brodovitch in the 1930s.

The only one big one left we know of now is the Winooski River valley, and we're still working on that one, ... Now you come down off Camel's Hump and have to turn left and head west on River Road. It's a road walk hard on people's feet and doesn't have that much shade. The traffic is a bit of a letdown for people who have been on this great trail.

One of the reasons we wanted to get the Lamoille done was to be further up the learning curve going into a tougher project. Hopefully the Lamoille Bridge will act as a concrete example of what we can do.

Everybody who's been there loves it, ... People are impressed with the bridge and pleased by the route and happy to have the white blazes off Route 15.

Yeah, we've sort of solved one of our river issues with the new bridge, ... and now our attention is focused squarely on solving the Winooski. That's really our last great route problem that we have.
