I have no problems with them giving the legislature a little more time, but I don't think the Giambra Administration and the legislature can together put together a four-year plan that's balanced.

Originally, it was thought to be a milestone in this whole process, ... Now, as things have evolved, and the control board has said it's not a firm vote, it's really non-binding. It probably doesn't have any substance to it anymore.

I think we can make a lot more cuts before we raise taxes.

As it turned out last year, that December deadline was meaningless, as the budget process went into January, February and March.

Most of the four year plan is the same old, same old. It's an attempt to raise taxes without cutting expenses. You think this is going to fly? I hope not.

It doesn't address enough to the other side of the equation, which is reducing expenses. We here in Erie County cannot tax our way back to prosperity. We need to reduce our expenses. They need to reorganize County government.

I think the control board should either send it back to the legislature for balancing, or they should go to a hard control board immediately.

It's the 'same old, same old.'

That doesn't bother me as much. We need to have some oversight to this Administration.
