As far as global warming, we are at such a critical stage that every (power) plant matters. We have to start stubbing this tide. And new plants aren't the way to do it.

This is a fundamental change in policy and it fundamentally violated the Clean Air Act. Anything less than (IGCC) is going to lead to higher levels of air pollution.

This plant will produce thousands of tons of pollution each year, and that is not clean by any standard.

There is no such thing as clean coal. It's low sulfur, and it's cleaner than coal used to be, but that's not saying much.

It is the dirtiest way to generate energy on the face of the planet.

The Highwood plant will produce fewer emissions than most other plants, but they are still emitting pollutants. I wouldn't want to live next door to one of these plants. I wouldn't want to live downwind from one of these plants. I don't care how good they say it is.
