We've sung for Black churches. If we went there and tried to sound Black, they wouldn't have it. They wouldn't buy it if it wasn't authentic. We've always sounded like we sound.

I used to look down on Christian singers who sang in nightclubs. I'd be, like, 'How can you do that?' And now I think, 'Who was I to judge?' I'm a Christian man who can sing good music and it doesn't conflict with my beliefs.
