They kind of sucked me up again on that downhill and into the second hill. I tried to make a pass on the inside around the last corner. Maybe I should've gone around on the outside instead of trying to pass on the inside. But, you learn something in every race and I'll just try to learn from this.

Today is definitely a disappointment. I think this is one of our good days and we had a chance for a medal today. Things didn't really go our way and it was too much to make up on the last lap.

You always look at your heat and it's like, 'Wow! All these guys are so great.' There are so many fast skiers that can make it into the top 30. It is luck of the draw, and I thought my heat was fine. I think I had as good a chance in that heat as any.

It seems weird to be considered one of the top sprinters in the world.

I came here kind of with a medal in the back of my mind, which is maybe a little high expectation for my first Olympic Games. But you've got to shoot big.
