There's no other way I'd like to go out my senior year.

We went up to Prentice and we were goofing around the whole time and got beat by 40 and coach warned us about it getting out of hand. But we're fun-loving and like to mess with each other. We try to not let it get out of hand and when we need to focus, I think we do.

It's nice to get a roll for a change. Usually the other team gets that kind of a roll, not us.

That was a fun environment. It had to be a huge difference for us. The kids ... used that energy to try to ratchet up our intensity to keep our focus.

They always say, 'Championships are won in March.' And that's true but you have to be making progress in December and January. In college basketball, they say the season starts in January. So does ours because that's district play and our first goal is to win our district.

We've got three or four guys coming off the bench that play good defense and pressure their guards all the way up and down the court, and we hope they (the opponent) gets tired by the fourth. We've just got to get them to play our game. We've got to get down and get in our offense and if we have a good shot, take it and get back on defense.

Where eyeballs go, so goes media.

We're very fortunate, some of us guys, that it's our third tournament. The atmosphere is going to be totally different. People follow basketball a little more closely and to play in the Kohl Center. A lot of people, even if they don't know anybody that's playing, go down to see this. It's going to be fun.

We had some nice sets to run against a 2-3. We wanted quicker ball movement, quicker decisions with the ball and I thought they did that nicely. That was probably a key point in the game when we got them to come out of the zone.

That's my own personal best so I was excited with that.

We know that we're getting into the tougher part of our schedule and are starting to bear down. We know those last four games are going to be tough and no one's going to give us anything. It's going to be kind of shocking when we get there because we haven't had a lot of competitive games, but we're looking forward to it.

I was concerned it could have gotten (out of hand) both ways. I was glad our players tried to keep their composure and keep playing and ignored all outside events.

At least up to this point, we're making enough plays to stay in the game but we aren't making enough to win the games.

Just to be a part of this team is something special, something I'll never forget. With these three guys gone, it's going to be hard for me, but the team's going to be strong, but we'll always remember these guys.

We were getting nice shots, high-percentage shots. I liked that.

It was nice to see to Mitch do that. Their defensive game plan just didn't work because of what Mitch did.

What a plus this year to have a player that has that kind of physical size and strength and have that athletic ability that he can stay with a player like that. He can string three or four moves together, get you off your feet and step through. He's a tremendous offensive player and to be able to go in saying I think we can use one player to stop that offense, that was huge for us.

That'd be nice. Maybe I should. As I teach, I don't keep lesson plans from one year to the next and I don't keep anything from one season to the next.
