I played it cool because I knew guys would go off and sure enough they did. (By being conservative,) I was able to save a lot of fuel. I was able to go four more laps than everybody else (before pitting) and I think that enabled me to win the race.

He did a great job in testing for us and we never looked back. He's done a great job ever since we hired him. All of our drivers don't need me to tell them how to drive a race car. They're professionals - that's why we hired them.

I'm in shock, Dan ran a helluva' race, ... I feel as good as if I won it myself.

I think for me the nicest thing is I'm going to be able to sleep now...Having won it is a big weight lifted off my shoulders .
