I can't imagine South Florida without Leavitt. South Florida wouldn't be the same. Everybody else can leave. Leavitt has to stay.

Going to see those cancer patients, that's a real humbling experience and it's taken a toll on me these past few days. It's made me appreciate life a little more. Now I'm trying to make every day count, every minute count. I'm showing everyone else that I really care. Everybody I see walking by, I'm just saying hello to them because I'm happy.

The crowd doesn't matter. We were in Happy Valley (in a season-opening 23-13 road loss to Penn State) and we took it.

I'm getting some education here and good coaching. I'm around some good athletes.

It showed that it doesn't matter where you come from. It's how you come. It's performance that counts.

We have to get a win. The bowl game isn't as fun if you don't win. You've got to bring the trophy home.

They tested us in the 40 (Monday). They had me at 4.33 seconds.

I'm leaving the team in good hands. Coach Leavitt and the rest of the coaching staff will take over and do what they have to do. I know that they will be back [to a bowl game]. I won't be surprised if they are in a BCS bowl.

I'm happy that we came. But we lost.
