He's had a good pre-season, ... He linked up well with Ian Murray on the left. Peter was at last getting at his opponent, driving on and getting crosses in. I always said I wanted him to scale the heights of my first 18 months here, when he scored a lot of goals. He's capable of that, but it's just a matter of him believing.

I think much will depend on the system we play, and there could be a bit of versatility in there.

It will be a problem, but knowing Marvin he will cope.

On the question of playing three at the back, it's something we haven't done and it's not the kind of thing you would normally spring on them for an important European tie. It could be a way of setting traps for myself, leaving myself open to criticism if it doesn't work.

Only time will tell if we come through.

[Andrews just hopes their ambitions tally with his own and those of his boss.] We do have to succeed [in Europe], ... but there are no guarantees. Rangers are still a big name in Europe so it would be nice for us to get a run - the financial benefits are incredible, but I would also like a run for prestige terms.

With the stakes we are trying to aspire to it is not a job for rookies. We feel we have not taken guys who are over the hill either - which has been the case in the past. We've got guys at the peak of their careers.

I haven't yet decided on my team, there's still a bit of deliberating to be done.

The fact is they are all big games whoever you play at this club.
