"Alexander James Auld" is a retired Canada/Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender. He last played for the EC Red Bull Salzburg of the Austrian Hockey League (EBEL). Auld has also played for the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, Dallas Stars and Ottawa Senators of the NHL. He has appeared internationally for Canada national men's ice hockey team/Team Canada on three occasions: the 2001 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships/2001 World Junior Championships, the 2004 Spengler Cup, and the 2006 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships/2006 World Championships.

I have to keep learning as I go, here. The last week has really made me stronger and I've learned from it.

Our penalty kill was as close to perfect as it could be. In their zone we were tremendous and our pressure up ice was really good. There were great clears and the guys really let me see the puck.

His shot is hard enough when you can see it. So when it comes across on a one-timer like that, with a screen in front, that's even tougher.

You feel like maybe you need the rest . . . but you have to make sure you stay on top of the little details.

It's too bad to see a teammate go down and a good friend like that. It's unfortunate, but I'm just going to do the things I've been doing, that's working hard and working on preparation.

Any time you seem to gain momentum, they snatch it right back with a big shift right away or a couple of shifts later. They turn things around so quickly, it's frustrating.

It's nice to get back in there and that's what anyone would ask for, to get right back on the horse. I'm looking forward to it and putting [Wednesday] night behind me and moving on.

Bert was dominant especially early on when it mattered most. You could tell it was an inspired effort.
