FameRank: 4

"Adrian Dix" is a Canada/Canadian politician, serving as the Member of the Legislative Assembly/MLA for Vancouver-Kingsway (provincial electoral district)/Vancouver-Kingsway in British Columbia and as the former leader of the British Columbia New Democratic Party. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the British Columbia general election, 2005/2005 provincial election. Dix's decision in 2013 to be replaced as leader came following the party's disappointing result in the British Columbia general election, 2013/May 2013 provincial election which the NDP lost despite a 20 point lead in the polls prior to the election campaign.

They need to be called to account. They need to explain. It is not good enough to say the job is hard.

We were overly ambitious . . . We just did too many things and they stretched our capacity to manage them.

This indicates, I think, the end product of a culture of cover-up and an inability of the ministry to properly investigate itself.

What we've seen over the last few years in response to this case is the culture of cover up and denial that continues to this very day.
