We defeated Nebraska by about 50 pins which created a lot of excitement for us. On Sunday we played well in spots but lost focus at times and were unable to battle back.

We might have had some false expectations as to how good we are at this point of the season.

We've had some close games against some other district teams, so we wanted to come out here and make a statement. We've learned we have to respect every team we face and we need to play on both sides of the court, not just offense.

I dreamed of being on the same floor and doing the same thing they did.

In past years we have had an upper-classman who has taken the lead. We really don't have that strong personality this year. These individuals will be leaned upon to get us through this.

I was pretty upset with myself. It was hard for me to watch the rest of the game.

We didn't play very consistently; we were making very uncharacteristic mistakes. We played a lot better on Sunday, but if we play like that anymore, we will have a rough time with the rest of our schedule.

I'm fine. I just put some pre-wrap around it and came back into the game.

With Nebraska being at the event, it will be tough because they will always be a solid team. They are pretty much bringing the same group they had last year. If we play up to our level, we will play them very closely.

I think this is our best chance (at a state title). Hopefully, our toughest games are behind us.

The sport has gotten to a higher quality in the last two years, and the field here will show how competitive these teams can be.

This will help us to see how we rebound from the last tournament. I will be looking forward to seeing how we play.
