Everybody here studies non-military history as well as the battles. For example, members of the Civil War Ladies League are well acquainted with what life was like in Victorian times. Sometimes people seem intimidated by the re-enactors. We don't want that. If the person you are talking to can't answer your question, they'll be able to lead you to somebody who can.
