"Zac Taylor" is an American football assistant coach and former quarterback. He is currently the quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins. From 2005 to 2006, he was the starting lineup/starting quarterback for Nebraska Cornhuskers football/Cornhuskers football team at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. He was recruited late in the 2004-2005 off-season by the Huskers, being a described "lucky break" due to the Huskers lack of quarterbacks at the time. He led Nebraska to an 8-4 record during his inaugural year, 2005, as a starter at quarterback. Taylor is from Norman, Oklahoma, hometown of the rival University of Oklahoma Oklahoma Sooners/Sooners. He signed with the National Football League's Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2007. Taylor was later cut from the team's 85 man roster and has since joined the Canadian Football League's Winnipeg Blue Bombers as their 4th quarterback. The Blue Bombers played in the Grey Cup (the CFL Championship game) on November 25, 2007.

We have something special going here, so we're just going to keep going.

I was stunned. I thought he was messing with me at first.

Cory, he's the man. We needed a senior leader right there to step up, and he came through for us.

You hear people talk about Tommie Frazier, Eric Crouch and Scott Frost. So you know you're in good company. You do get a feeling that playing quarterback here is really a big deal.

We're living on the edge. I wouldn't say it's dangerous, but we're definitely pressing things a little bit.

Looking at the situation, I think I've improved a lot the last two years. The two years I was there they had some quarterbacks who were better than I was. I saw the writing on the wall. I just thought I'd find an opportunity playing somewhere else, so I decided to leave.

I was pretty disappointed with the way I played. I made some very poor throws I wish I could have back. I was kind of wishing we could play another game the next day and put that last one behind us. Luckily, that was just the first week, and we got a win.

It's been a whirlwind since I've been here. It just seems like I've been in college for 10 years now.

I never could have imagined a situation like this. It'll be a lot of fun. Everything will be put aside once the game starts, and then it'll be just another game.
