When the stroke first happened, he couldn't even sit up. He had no balance. He had to learn everything over. The first thing was learning to touch his thumbs to his fingertips.

That's how he expresses frustration. He says that one really well.

The problem is the way the brain processes information. It's similar to a computer. The information is in there, but when you send it to the printer, the printer won't work.

It gets very frustrating on both ends. He gets frustrated trying to tell me what he wants, and I get frustrated trying to understand him. Sometimes I just have to give up because I can't figure it out.

His faith in God has carried him a long, long way.
