We really don't know what the plans are for it. The concern is re-creating pockets of poverty. Every time we pass one of the housing complexes, we say we could be putting a work force in there. But at the same time, are you creating permanent housing that isn't the best way to go?

I haven't heard a lot of differences yet and I'm watching very closely. I think the next few weeks we'll start seeing if there are different policy visions but…I can promise you this we're gonna be watching closely and trying to be ready to respond to any deviations.

The other teams have left, and they're still not really back. We haven't left, and we're not going anywhere.

We're told, we were initially told April and then we're hearing May and now we're hearing it may be June before they even approve a plan. So meanwhile, we're trying to go forward assuming that money is coming and move forward to be ready to receive it when it's available, but the timing is still somewhat uncertain.

Emotions are still raw here.

The task of the state and the Louisiana Recovery Authority is to really gather everything together and try to help rebuild the state.

We've come up with what I submit to you is a consensus proposal.

I think we're all anxiously watching how are the other candidates weighing in on the plan…Will that change? We don't know. Will the mayor change? We don't know.
