Mountain Valley has a lot of seasoned wrestlers. They just out-strengthened us in a few weight classes. They have stronger kids and when you have two wrestlers with the same knowledge and same experience and one of them is stronger, the stronger one is usually going to win.
He did a real nice job in that match. He?s been wrestling really solid the last couple of weeks and things are starting to click for him right now. He?s really excited about going to states.
They both had very good matches.
It was another strong, solid effort for Buddy. He was solid offensively, defensively and was great on takedowns.
He wrestled really intelligently today. His last match was a real tough match but he focused and stayed in control.
He?s really stepped up and is turning the corner right now being a third-year wrestler. He?s really clicking and has picked up the intensity. He?s really crossed the line and (is) making some noise. He can get better, but he needs to get stronger.
When our last four are winning, we?re doing well.
That was a total shocker. I think the kids were really hoping to wrestle Wells and turn some scores around.
We got off to a great start. The kids were just on.
