We understand the inconvenience being caused to people because of the strike but there was no other option. The government has been ignoring our demand for so long.
We decided to scale down our demands to a sizeable extent due to the hardships being faced by the people.
The strike is on across the country and will not be called off till our demands are met by the authorities.
Nothing concrete came out of the talks as the finance ministry is not interested in settling it. No other conciliatory talks are planned at this stage.
