We wanted to try and hold them under 15 points in the first half. We got out in the passing lanes, got some steals and were able to get our offense going off that.

We came out with a lot of energy and we got up real quick. ... We were scoring like every time down the court. We just started getting away from what got us there and started looking for our own shots.

It's a matter of us showing up and having that pride that we are not going to let the other team score. We have so many offensive weapons, who can all score 20-25 on any night depending on who's hot. But defense is going to get us to the championship.

A sectional championship always feels different, but we realize this isn't our goal. A state championship is our goal. This is the first out of four steps to that title. Now we have to get ready for Saturday's regional.

I like the opportunity that I can play early. It's really competitive ball. My dream was always to play at the Division I level. It didn't work out that way, but it's the next best thing. I'm still growing, and I'm getting a lot stronger.

We stressed in the locker room before the game that we wanted to come out with energy and intensity, and we didn't do that right at the start. But I was happy with us extending our lead and making that run.
