We were down by two with eight seconds left to go, but they made some foul shots and we couldn't convert.
I was impressed with the way the girls played. We are a young team and record wise have not had a stellar season. Our goals are to be able to start scoring and be able to play good basketball in March.
We're young and we're learning how to get the ball up the floor. We had a great first quarter, but we lost steam and lost focus a little bit and the turnovers killed us. They got all the boards and they just took it away from us.
They took Mallory out of the game right away. She has done all our scoring all year and they took that right away from us.
Mallory had a break-out game. She played awesome tonight. We were able to get her the ball inside more this game than we have all season long. She was getting it done all over the floor, hitting everything.
This is a win in our book as far as I am concerned. We keep working hard. It'll come.
We're starting to come together. We played as a team, and I was very proud of them tonight.
They are a level above us. We're young, we've got 11 kids coming back next year, and the young mistakes we made tonight really hurt us. But we never gave up and we worked hard.
It was an excellent game. It was 8-8 at the end of the first and 18-14 at the half.
