He was a decent football player. He was an offensive lineman for us. When he got older he went straight to baseball.

He's one of those kids you like to have on your team. He throws strikes and he's a guy you trust with the ball in his hand. If he has any downfall it's that he probably throws too many strikes.

(Dickinson) did great. I'm proud of him, but that's what I expect of him. I expect him to hit .400.

When there is a pressure situation I want him in there more than anybody. You are always proud of a kid who rises up to a pressure situation.

Kyle did what he was supposed to do for us on the mound. And we're going to depend on him to hit, too — that's just who he is.
