You have to have the right personality, the right work ethic and the right mental toughness. Cameron is showing he can do that.

He raised his hand because he wants to be a leader on this team, and he never wanted any part of that the last two years. Last year was a learning year for Cameron, and he started to realize that it takes more than just being a talented golfer.

It's been like that since his freshman year.

It was a tough course, and the kids realize they have a lot of work to do. When you go into a course you don't know, which was the case for a couple of our kids, it's tough. We tried to prepare them, but there are a lot of trouble spots on that course.

If he can keep that attitude and demeanor about him, he'll always be liked and well known for his personality as well as his golf game.

I don't think he knows how to play bad.

But it was a good learning experience for our kids. They're going to have to learn how to play different courses to play well.
