We talked at the half that we needed to start playing the way we knew how. The main thing we needed to do was play defense. Having lost to Blackville earlier in the season, I don't know if we knew what to expect. I just asked them to turn it up in the second half.

We were concentrating on making it over this hurdle. I just told the ladies to settle down and stay focused. I didn't understand how their defense shut our offense down. It was great competition. I'm thankful, and it can only help prepare us for the state game.

Well, it was more satisfying and of course it was more challenging, but it was a sweet ending. So everything went beautiful in my opinion.

They were very mature when it came to understanding the game and having that discipline and being able to keep their composure under pressure.
