We're blessed with a lot of athletic kids, and it was nice to see all of them get on the field. Not only that, but they executed well and didn't make many mistakes.

We had some inexperienced kids out there who had to learn on the fly. There were mistakes made but what we have to do is work on them and make sure they're not made again next week.

They've got a lot of skill players. We must be physical, communicate and make our tackles.

We did a lot of good things last week, but we're not where we want to be. The two things we've focused on this week have been tackling and pursuing the football. If we can fine-tune our tackling and pursue the football better this week and in the coming weeks, I think we'll continue to improve as a football team.

It sometimes takes a few plays to adjust defensively. It's all a matter of adjusting, staying focused and running hard to the football.

That was one of the best runs I've ever seen Broderick make. It was a beautiful run and was great to see, because of how hard he hit the linebacker and how he was able to spin away from him.

John threw some high-percentage passes and put them on the money. He's showed a lot of poise behind center. Landon, J.C. (Clayton) and Justin (Miller) all made some nice catches.

Our kids knew they didn't have a good game in the opener. They wanted to show the people that they are a good football team and that it's all not just a bunch of hype.

It's just an ordinary game, and we've had one of our better weeks as far as preparation is concerned. The kids know they'll be in front of a big crowd and want to perform well.
