If the fire cycle gets interrupted, dense fuels that don't get consumed [in smaller, cooler fires] flare up, and you get burns on a larger scale, with higher intensity. We probably have made it worse: We can put out the easy fires, but we cannot [as easily] put out the bad ones.
Quite frankly, I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off of my shoulders. You can imagine, had it turned out differently, (the other prosecutor) and I certainly would have been scapegoats.
This is more cruel than the hurricane was.
That's one of the things the study is going to look at.
I'm not surprised it was not approved, but I was shocked by the margin. It only lost by eight points (54-46 percent) in the last election, so I was definitely surprised.
Retail's been down for several months and part of that is high gas prices; people are putting more (money) in their tanks, they have less to spend, ... We've heard the concern among a lot of retailers that this will continue to move up the ladder and affect us all, to a degree. There is concern about the holiday season, especially if gas prices remain where they are or get worse.
The reason we're doing this is obvious, ... The people in the gulf states need our help. My challenge to the other dealers here in the Treasure Valley is to match it. The truth is we may need this kind of help ourselves someday.
The way people obtain and use digital content could really change.
