I thought our post players played excellent in the fourth quarter. I thought Nathan (Carlton) and Trent (Garner) started getting some high-low looks, and we got some easy baskets. We just didn't play very good on the defensive end.

It gives us something to emphasize on the second half of the season, especially defensive rebounding. We turn around and play Nauvoo and we'll have to rebound well against them too. And we can't overlook Pleasant Hill.

We'd marked this game on the calendar, Calhoun didn't surprise us with their talent.

It's surprising at home that you would miss free throws the way we did, but it's part of the game. We played a better defensive game this time around than we did the first time at Winchester. We just didn't shoot as well.

When you come here to Winchester (West Central) plays extremely well.

He beat us at the end of the press.

Offensive rebounds just killed us in the second half. We gave up way too many rebounds on the defensive end.

You see our senior guards, such as Derek Harris, Byers and Alex Smith taking care of the ball. I was told we had just two turnovers in the first half.

In the first quarter, we made the extra pass. We break them down on the dribble, make the extra pass and get the wide-open shot. In the second quarter, we got a little flustered and weren't patient at all. We started shooting when we were contested and it was one shot and out.
