The conference is so balanced and so wide open this year that it doesn't matter who we play; whether they're last place or first place, we gotta win them all.

I think we have a more balanced attack than anything else. There will be days when we need to out slug someone, and there will be days we'll do with our pitching. The team is just so balanced.

Zach Groh has been so dominant this spring. He's continued to recover and it's great to have him back out there.

I thought we did a good job today. We did a lot with two-out hits. That's something key to winning.

We swung the bats pretty well, but it's hard to claw back when you're in such a huge hole.

[Splitting] is not good enough. If we settle to do that, we're a .500 team. That's not good enough. We have to have a little more of a killer instinct.

We just try to get better every time we take the field. We try to fix the mistakes and just keep doing what we're doing right, so that we're as ready as we can be moving into conference play next week.

Conference play is a totally different level of intensity. The stakes are higher. It's hard to put into words how big it truly is.

He threw great today. He was a big pitcher for us last year, and we expect the same from him this year.
