Give Hollidaysburg their due ... they are a scrappy team. They're not big, but they have some speed.

I wanted to be as balanced as possible on offense tonight. But we weren't clicking on the pass, and we were able to run the ball.

I was very pleased with the halfbacks. We have some speed back there and we got a strong game from Tyler Guise.

We felt we could run on them. But after that (fumble recovery), all of our backs started to run a little bit harder.

This is the most we've had out since I've been here. I just think the interest in football in our district is growing. I know we have 400 kids in our midget program. Football is a big part of Cumberland Valley.

They've improved, there's no doubt about that. There an experienced team with 25 guys back ... but we made it very difficult on ourselves. We moved the football but we made mistakes before we could get it in.

They handled our line on the strong side. Most of their success went to the tight end side. It wasn't our defense. We knew that (CD running back Vince) Browning could scoot. But overall our defense played well. It was the offense that let us down. Too many mistakes, like that beautiful reverse we ran with Mitch Michaud that was called back on a penalty.

For us, Abner didn't play a perfect game, but he did a lot of good things.

We did what we had to do to win. We knew we had the numbers game, so we pounded on them and wore them down.
