I think it's an important message that in cases like this there's a need to be spotlighted, have the highlights of the case presented and have attention drawn to it.

These kids look forward to this race every year. They make team t-shirts and wrap their shoes tightly with duct tape.

This gives us another race early in the season and plus, it's a great tradition with us and McBain. Overall, I thought both our teams did well today.

It's important to have those eyes and ears out there. It keeps it going, it keeps it alive. It keeps it in front of the public, keeps attention on the case and sends a very clear message to the families and others that law enforcement will never give up on these cases.

It's been brought up before, and I'm sure it will be brought up routinely in the future. It's usually brought up every year after the basketball championships. But it only gets discussed and doesn't go any further.

Josh looked really strong for us today and he ran the whole way with rocks in his shoes.

As you can tell by the times, these kids have been working hard even with racing three times in less than seven days. It only proves what caliber of runners we have on our team this year.

The kids came into the season with confidence and stamina. They worked hard over the summer and now it is time for the pay off.
