"Tim Doyle" is an American television producer and television writer. His credits include Dinosaurs (TV series)/Dinosaurs, Roseanne (TV series)/Roseanne, Grace Under Fire, Ellen (TV series)/Ellen, Still Standing (TV series)/Still Standing, The Big Bang Theory, Better Off Ted, Rules of Engagement (TV series)/Rules of Engagement and Last Man Standing (U.S. TV series)/Last Man Standing.

Doyle grew up in Glendale, California. He is married to fellow television writer Ellen Svaco, who has written for the animated series TaleSpin, Darkwing Duck and Bonkers (TV series)/Bonkers. They have one child together.

He is alumnus of USC School of Cinematic Arts.

Doyle is notable as journeyman sitcom "show-runner," known for being hired to run troubled shows and help them accumulate enough episodes for syndication.

Doyle is also widely credited with originating the term "bay leaf," a term of art in television comedy. A bay leaf is material written into a script with the explicit intention that it would be removed later -- either in subsequent drafts or in editing of the finished episode. Bay leaves are generally used to address unwanted network and studio notes.

We came out really flat. Give them a lot of credit; they made a lot of shots early and they built up a lead. We're notorious for not playing well from behind, and we just couldn't put the ball in the basket.

Coach challenged me on the bench and said I was not focused. That bothered me. I wanted to show him and prove to myself that I am worthy to be out there.

Every time we did anything, they had a response to it. It just wasn't our day.

It got borderline embarrassing. They're a very average team, and they made us look like we didn't even belong in the league.

A game like this makes you sick to your stomach. I can't put into words how frustrating it is. We looked horrible out there. We just got beat for a third time by Penn State, and they're considered an average team in our league.

I laughed during the move. I knew I had him beat so bad.

I didn't stand where I usually stand and I changed my role.

This game speaks for itself. Never mind we just lost to Penn State three times. Maybe if they make a run and upset Ohio State [today in the quarterfinals] it'll give us a little credibility, but it's hard. Look at the score.

I was looking to give him the ball immediately. I probably won't tell Coach that, but he'll probably see it in the paper.
