The weather was not favorable for birding. The winds were very heavy, 25 to 30 miles per hour. That keeps the birds below cover and you can't hear their songs.

We go out at 3 or 4 o'clock in the morning looking for owls; at least some of us did. I was out at 5 a.m. looking for screech owls and horned owls. Then we bird all day long, make compilations, take snacks and put together our info. We broke into six sections.
