Obviously this department is a big advocate of prescribed burning or controlled burning.

Most Floridians who drink wine today drink out-of-state wine. Now they will be able to order it on the Internet rather than going to a retailer or supermarket. It will mean fewer middlemen and a better deal for the consumer.

Gas stations are justified in passing on their increases. What's not justified is if their costs don't go up and they decide they're going to pad their profits because there's an emergency.

We're very pleased to have this guy. I guess any time you hire someone, you run the risk of someone taking a shot at them for any reason. But he'll be a real asset to the department. He comes from the private sector. But that's where you get people who have expertise.

The nature of some of these forests, with the amount of undergrowth leaves and pine needles, they can burn underground for weeks and weeks. They are thought extinguished but re-ignite when the wind kicks up.
