I think this is an opportunity to get him on the field and let him play, ... You go back and look at the Howard Griffiths and Aaron Cravers and even how Syracuse used Kyle, he was kind of a hybrid type guy. The best fullbacks have always been running backs because I think they have instincts to feel the hole, and Cecil's got that.

There wasn't a conscious effort to make next year this windfall where we can build for the future, it just kind of happened. But any time you have leverage like that, it has to be a plus for you.

I think above anything with regards to next year kind of falling into place was just having a philosophy and sticking with it.

It is an avenue. You can get a player you think you need and give a player in return where you think you have some depth. I think all teams think it's a win-win deal after they make any trade.

When somebody sits and tells you that you can't do this and that, or that you cost the team because of this and that, he hasn't let it get to him. Which, I think, is what people are trying to do.

We heard all the jokes. But we knew what we were getting. We knew Gerard would be revitalized, we knew Courtney would be dominant if healthy, and we knew Ebenezer and Michael were very underrated, hard working guys. This has worked out very well for us.

There's a lot to maintaining consistency in the NFL, and it's both on and off the field, ... And if something gets in your way of your concentration on football, I don't care what it is, your chance of succeeding is difficult because there's people right behind you focused on taking your spot.

We look at the draft as a chance to build our team, but we also look at the other avenues. We think 33 is a respectable number. But again, we want to take advantage of all possibilities of building a team.
