Contracts have to be negotiated to benefit teachers and taxpayers, but with the best interests of our children as the primary goal. Our group has the momentum to go statewide. If we can all work together, our voices will be loud, succinct and carry the weight of the people not only to Harrisburg but to Washington as well.

I have a major problem as a taxpayer. I think we should have a right to review where our tax dollars are going.

The kids are really the innocent victims. We value what [teachers] bring to the classroom and think legislation has to be fair. We just don't want our kids put in the crossfire.

We're thrilled that the strike is settled ... but our group is committed to being educational advocates for our children.

I hope the contract is fair and equitable to everybody. Then, we can move forward and mend some of the fences that have been broken.
