Those are stereotypes the sport has, in my opinion, outgrown. It's really a shame and an injustice to some degree that some people have attempted to label it in that way.

It's a tragic incident and it is of great concern. But it's just not fair to label a whole sport based on one team or a few players.

Certainly there's been concern expressed ... particularly in areas where the sport is just taking root and people aren't as well-versed in its culture and history. But I think also there's a strong willingness to try to use this tragedy to improve our efforts to promote best practices and preserve a positive culture.
