It was very cold and windy and I thought the girls ran exceptionally well considering the weather. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond has an excellent team and this was a great preview of what to expect for the conference meet in two weeks.

We have to find some high jumpers. We graduated two seniors who did very well.

That has been going well. The first day we did it I asked for a show of hands if that was the farthest they had ever run at one time, most of the freshman raised their hands. We're gradually getting used to it. We are also doing less of the traditional static stretching and focusing more on dynamic stretching, which involves a lot more movement and gets the muscles a lot more warmed up.

She's our big gun. It was nice to see her pick up where she left off. Our last meet here, for districts, she won all the same events, too.

It was a good way to start the season. We didn't set a lineup to win a meet, but to see where everyone was at.
