Mining and milling operations have been temporarily suspended as a precautionary measure. The Indonesian authorities are working to resolve the situation in a peaceful and expeditious manner.

We do not use cyanide or mercury in our process. Our mine tailings are simply finely ground natural rock and are non-toxic.

Workers have returned and started the evening shift. The blockade was opened voluntarily, and the protesters have given their demands to Freeport and the local administration. We will continue discussing their demands.
